Cilia2024 conference in Dublin, Ireland

Dublin, Ireland
September 10th 2024

Cilia2024 was the 6th edition of the biennial European Cilia research meeting – the world’s largest scientific meeting for cilia and flagella research – and took place on September 10-13 in Dublin, Ireland. Many TheRaCil partners were present and the conference was a great opportunity for interacting and for sharing the aims and the first results of the project with the community. Our coordinator Sophie Saunier gave a plenary talk on “Novel therapeutic approaches for Nephronophthisis and renal ciliopathies”. Bernhard Schermer talked about “Regulated Cell Death Pathways in Renal Ciliopathies”. Poster sessions included presentations by Lucie Menguy, Guillaume Rocha and Damelys Calderon (Imagine Institute) and by Aurelius Roskothen-Shevchuk (UMC Utrecht). We also had the chance to interact with the UK CILIAREN network for Renal Ciliopathies during a dedicated working lunch. Congratulations to all and many thanks to the organizers for an amazing conference! We’re already looking forward to Cilia2027, to be organized in Milan by TheRaCil partner Alessandra Boletta.
