Tribute to Tess Harris

It is with great sadness that we found out about the passing of our dear collaborator Tess Harris on March 1, 2024. A tireless advocate for Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), renal ciliopathies and rare disease for many years, Tess was the CEO of PKD Charity in the UK, a founding member of our partner organization Ciliopathy Alliance. Tess was a champion of international partnerships to advance biomedical research, participating in the organization of the European Cilia meetings since their inception in 2012 and in many efforts for finding treatments, also as an essential and extremely knowledgeable member of our consortium. Her energy, her infectious enthusiasm and her friendly but firm character were an inspiration to all of us. She will be sorely missed by the whole renal ciliopathies research community and above all by the patients.
